SHARON FEENEY - STONE SCULPTOR - PORT ORCHARD, WA
About Sharon

Sharon has a passion for creating in stone. She lives on Colvos
Passage in a natural setting where she is a keen observer of wildlife.
Nature herself acts as a muse for Sharon to reveal the animal or figure
within the stone. While she delights in the sensuality of the softer
stones such as steatite and alabaster, she also loves the challenge and
boldness of granite and the inner glow of marble.
Sharon has studied sculpture with Sabah Al-Dhaher at the Pratt
Institute of Fine Arts. She has also participated in numerous Northwest
Stone Sculptors Association (NWSSA) seminars in the foothills of the
Cascade Mountains and on Whidbey Island, where the surrounding
trees and wildlife serve as inspiration.
Her work has been shown at the Seattle Flower and Garden Show,
Carnegie Gallery, Kirsten Gallery, NWSSA Symposium Sculpture Walks,
North Seattle Community College Sculpture Month, the Edmonds
Garden Sculpture Show, and Puyallup's Arts Downtown Outdoor Gallery.
In addition to the work she has shown in galleries, Sharon has also
created personally commissioned sculptures. She serves as an officer
and as a board member for the Northwest Stone Sculptor’s Association
(NWSSA).
